The Catskills–where the air feels a little cleaner and time moves differently. That sense of calm and care is baked into everything we make. Our cakes don’t dazzle with spectacle—they speak through texture, balance, and the quiet soul of good baking.

This isn’t nostalgia—it’s a modern kind of homeliness. Warm, intentional, and always finished with a generous heart: a ribbon tied, a slice cut a little thicker, a note written by hand.

Coming soon.

Maybe it was passed down through my mother and grandmother, both of whom loved to cook. Maybe it indulges my self-diagnosed OCD. Or maybe it was moving to Brooklyn back in 2012 that had something to do with it, I don’t know.

But I do love living upstate and I really love baking for other people, so here we are. Welcome to The Catskill Cakery.

The premise is simple: no cookies, no brownies, no muffins, no pies–just cake (and the occasional tart). Nothing fancy.

So, consider me your personal baker and consider The Catskill Cakery the next time you want to bring something other than wine to a dinner party… or to a housewarming… or just because you want cake.

I’m not quite sure how I got into baking.
